I am a stay-at-home mom with a wonderful six year old and an infant. I love spending my time with them.  So, my goal right now is to take sessions as they come, but not pursue a lot of business until all of my children are in school.  That way, I might enjoy two of my loves in life without stressing about losing one or the other!  This also means my schedule is very flexible, but has to be planned ahead for babysitting.

My love for photography began in college, where I earned a degree in studio art with an emphasis in photography and oil painting.  Most of my portraiture training came on-the-job as a studio photographer outside of Chicago, mentored by a photographer known throughout the area for her beautiful portraits.  With an art background, my style tends to highlight composition and mood within my photographs.  Capturing my subjects in ways that show who they are and tell a story, not just what their beautiful smiles look like, is always my goal.

My studio is not limited to traditional portraiture, as I also do business portraits and commercial jobs. Please email me if you would like more information about those services.
